Physical Conditioning
Your key to a healthy mind, body & soul
Tennis is a sport that needs physical fitness including very good flexibility, agility, coordination, endurance and strength. Work hand-in-hand with the TennisDoc to develop all these aspects of your physical fitness to play your best tennis:

-
Muscle tone - muscular tone is very important, so players can tolerate long rallies. Repetitions of resistance exercises of all limbs and the core are needed.
-
Balanced strength - It is crucial to strengthen reciprocal muscle groups in general in order to prevent dynamic skeletal malalignment and overuse injuries.
-
Sustained stretching - When fully stretched, muscles much less frequently get strained.
-
Endurance training - aerobic conditioning is essential to avoid fatigue in the latter games of a match in order to prevent breakdown of footwork and stroke mechanics.
-
Proper nutrition - An anti-inflammatory diet and high-quality recovery drinks provide necessary nutrients and hydration before and after play.
-
Analysis of stroke mechanics - When necessary, TennisDoc can examine stroke mechanics off and on the court, in order to identify flaws in technique that may be contributing to the development and chronicity of an injury. In collaboration with coaches and trainers, this assessment can lead to the implementation of an effective corrective plan.
